#22 Has Been Officially Retired

Band status update:

In the ever evolving world of Peace Love Fiddledom, the time has come to bid Mr. Newbould Adieu.

David Newbould has been with us opening shows, playing guitars and singing for the past 6 months. It is an understatement to say that David added color and life to this band!!

David Newbould:
Introduced us to the world of Torchy's Tacos (Instantly changed our lives forever)

Redefined the "Beat It" solo

His homemade curry raised our tolerance for spice pain

Created a legendary "David Allan Coe" alternate ego

He wrote the book on how to tackle an end table

Forever retired the numbers "22" and "25" from this band :)

Brought new life to the El Guapo dance and was unafraid to whip it out ANY WHERE. ANY TIME.

Reminded us all of the poetry of Whitesnake and even brought the original tee along for inspiration

And his Canadian status expanded our band's international borders further North than we've ever gone!

We're gonna miss him dearly, but we have NOT played our last show with David Newbould. I guarantee you that! We are all so excited for him and his career! He's currently on a tour throughout New Mexico and Texas, and of course you can always catch him playing with his stellar band in Nashville. He's working on a new record - and from the tracks I've heard (and gotten to sing on!!!!) it is gonna be a killer record. Some of my favorites of his songs are coming out on this one!!! I'll keep you posted.

Our radar for Pei Wei has drastically decreased now that David isn't in the van full time... but we'll make sure to keep the tradition alive and thriving!! He texted me a few days ago because he had planned his drive to make it to the Pei Wei in Amarillo before it closed. He's like us with Torchy's now. We went an hour out of the way last time we were in Texas just to make it to Torchy's in Austin. :)

We miss you El Guapo!

Peace. Love. Fiddle.
