Thank You "Today's Best Country Music Videos"!!!

Google alerts ROCK my world. They allow me to spy in on others that blog about shows and see what people are posting. I saw one blog yesterday from a girl that had come to the Berry College show that was so sweet. Her best friend had come into town, they walked around campus taking "senior portraits" (as in posing sillily among and around campus like they always make you do for Senior pics), and then they came to my show. And it made me feel so great to see what she had to say about the show.

Tonight... I get into bed... open up my computer and VOILA!! Today's Best Country Music Videos posted the most awesome blog about me!!!

It's great to watch videos from stars like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire, but it's also very cool to watch a video like the one below from up-and-coming country superstar Natalie Stovall. Being out on the road day after day is tough on superstars, but it's even tougher on newcomers like Natalie and her band. But, as this video shows, as long as you have a positive attitude, you can make the best of any situation. Take a ride along with Natalie and her band down to Augusta, Georgia as they play at Augusta State University and then open up for Gretchen Wilson. Isn't Natalie's attitude contagious? Enjoy!

Tomorrow, I play my first show in Nashville in over a year and a half!!! I am so excited!!! I am playing with two other fabulous artists and friends. Miss Ruth Collins and Mr. David Newbould. Show starts at 6. Hope to see you there!

Since I shared something that was a bit sad yesterday... and there's not much to report since we spent most of the day in the car....

The video below is from a girl who just finished watching Star Wars for the first time. She cries at the end of happy/sad movies and the tears are 100% genuine. Her husband started filming her because he thinks it is so adorable. And he had to add subtitles because you really can't understand her through her tears! According to the website they NEVER expected to get so much attention from the videos on YouTube, but they've gotten nearly 400,000 views. She even cries at the end of "Back To The Future"!!! It is so adorable. And I COMPLETELY understand. :) You can suggest movies for her to watch on their site.

New Year's Resolution: √

365 Days ago, I made the daunting New year's Resolution to blog every single day in 2009.

Last night, I accomplished that goal!!!

I even blogged more than once on some days :)

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who reads, skims, visits, comments, and prints out my blog (mostly just Aunt Deana on the printing) every day!!! It has been so rewarding to see how much our readership has grown over the last year!

I think an Official Award needs to be given to my most specialist, Shadiest, Groviest (not to be confused with grooviest) of blog commenters.

The 2009 Peace, Love Fiddle, Blogger Commenter of the year is.....

....drumroll please....

"Natalie's Favorite Farm Boy Fan"!!!!

If you haven't... you need to pay attention to his comments on this blog. I check EVERY DAY to see what he has said on the day before... and his comments are so incredibly creative and witty. I think the way his mind works and the way he uses language is SO entertaining. It is such a high light of my day to see what "Natalie's Favorite Farm Boy Fan" has to say... about what I have said... :) He's even been known to go under cover from time to time. :)



So thank all of YOU for reading and giving me motivation to KEEP ON BLOGGING!

I promise to keep it up for 2010. We are on such a beautiful ride, and I want to share it with anyone who wants to be a part of it with us! There's SOOO much to come this year. New music, our first official Europe Tour will be this year, new website, new band members, and OF COURSE new and unpredictable adventures out on the road!!!

And to my Farm Boy Fan... THANK YOU for declaring it the year of the Nat. Today was a day filled with creative energy... it snowed.... and I ate almost an entire can of black eyed peas... it's off to a VERY promising start!!!

Cheap Trick

We went to see Cheap Trick at the Ryman Auditorium tonight!!! Paul (my manager) bought tix for James, Ben, and me as an early Christmas present. And Cheap Trick is one of his favorite bands, so he wanted us to experience the almighty Cheap Trick for ourselves :)

It was SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! They are incredible live. And dude. Robin Zander?!?!? Good Lord. If I have half of his voice when I am over 50, I will be good to go!!! The bass player was playing a 12 string bass. Ummm... NEVER seen that before. But it was really cool.

These guys KNOW how to put on a show. They are rockers in the true sense - as in, you don't feel like they are trying to rock. They just do. And the audience was pretty impressive. It was packed with session players, artists in town and even LARRY DAVID! Hilarious! No idea what he is doing in Nashville, but I saw him... didn't think it was actually him... because, well, why would he be in Nashville??

Man, I really loved that 12 string bass. It was such a cool sound. And he had the most gorgeous finish on it - very sparkly - and has given me inspiration for my next fiddle finish. :)

Yeah. So tonight rocked. It was a great way to kick off our marathon of being at home! Grandpa walked 4 times today, and his chest tubes came out. So YAY for that!!! Progress there :)

And welcome to the new blog followers! I see there are a few newbies to the list :) I'll try not to let you down. I may not be on the road the next few weeks, but I have no doubts there will be plenty of adventures to share :)

Oh No You Di 'in!

The last blog I just posted keeps making me think of the only fight I ever witnessed in middle school.

It was in the cafeteria, and it broke out between two 7th grade girls. One of the girls ripped out her weave and started whipping the other girl with it. It was pretty intense :)

The Last Unicorn From Outer Space

Last night, I posted this blog... but you never saw it. And I did not realize until today!!! I got a new phone, and I'm having some technical difficulties with the email. So, here's what it said :)

This picture was emailed to me while we were out on the road. All it said was "The Last Unicorn from Outer Space"

Katie and I recently had an interesting conversation about unicorns... so I guess you could say there was somewhat of a reference point. However, we were talking about normal unicorns as opposed to extraterrestrial unicorns.

My favorite part was the explanation:
Katie was cooking and she used to much tin foil. She didn't it to go to waste. She made a unicorn helmet out if the remaining tin foil, which says a lot about her aforementioned awesomeness.
