Pins & Needles in Put-in-Bay

I'm sitting Indian style on the bed - with my computer half in my lap. James laid his head down on my leg... he was mustering up the energy to go take a shower... he is now snoring... forehead down on my leg.

This is how tired we are!

We got to Put-in-Bay around 8:30am... they let us check into a couple of the rooms early at the hotel (YAY!!!!) and we snagged a couple of hours of sleep... but we were out the door again at 11:30 for sound check and load in.

Never a dull moment!

The ferry over to Put-in-Bay is SOOOO pretty. But Joel didn't even wake up for it :) The rest of us got out of the car and took in the view. When we were loading in, he asked, "Did we take a ferry to get here?"

What is it with every time we get a new band member??? With David & Zach - it was an overnight drive from Iowa to Texas... in the snow... and this time it was, "Hey we're in Cleveland.... wait West Virginia... wait... back up past Cleveland to Put-in-Bay as quickly as possible!" :) We've decided it's a karmic thing... you know, "If you can just make it through this, then..."

Ok. My legs and feet are definitely falling asleep... but James is so peaceful. I don't want to move!

We have so many family and friends that are here with us on this trip!!! While at lunch with James' mom and step-dad this afternoon... I saw some of our friends that we always see in Indianapolis. I had no idea they were coming!!! But there was Karen and Pat right there on the sidewalk. SURPRISE!

James' Aunt Carol, Grandma, and Uncle Tim are all also here with Mom and Britt... so we are eating VERY well. Aunt Carol brought food WITH her to make for the band. Needless to say... as soon as we got packed up from the show, we headed over to where they are staying, and well...
...started eating. :)
These Mid-West women take such good care of us. You NEVER go hungry when they're around. That is for sure!

Yup. Pins and Needles. In my legs and feet. Gonna have to move.

I cried out of one eye tonight the WHOLE show. I did that last time I was here. It's SO distracting, and it looks like I am just really emotional. :) That or because of my eye make-up smudging, it looks like I have a black eye. I have no idea what it is about Put-in-Bay, but my right eye is protesting. (Even though every thing else about me loves it here!)

Mom and Britt!!!

And since I was driving last night, I'll upload a few of my favs from Conocord University!

These guys were SOOO great! They held up their signs the whole show. :)

YAY!

Sleep is gonna be so good now.
Peace. Love. Fiddle.

Hay : )

or should I say How : )

Since I'm about 1/16th Indian in my jeans and genes (and probably a lot higher percentage Indian in independent spirit) we are working on new Indian names for you and one will be Beeyouteafull Goldilocks Cloud Lining With Three Bears Fiddlin : )

Of course all the guys in the band will now need to learn fiddlin, and with the length of the name there may be a few marketing probs, but Hay, us part Indian's love long deskriptive names !!

We also wish we were part Hawwahyin, because Aloha means affection, love, peace, compassion and mercy, and you can use it as hello or goodbye and that is so cool because that way you never have to remember if you are coming or going : )

An awesome Aloha to our Beeyouteafull Goldilocks Cloud With Three Bears Fiddlin : )
