Best Year Ever

So to start out the year in the best way possible... Gordon and I have
12 songs that we have already started and are really excited about.
It's a bit overwhelming!! (In the best way possible of course) Sifting
through our ideas has taken nearly 2 full days. But it feels really
good to know what all we have and to prioritize it in some way.

Tonight we didn't actually start writing until about 10 because of all
the sifting. (which is why it is now 4am). But we are so close on a
song we started on New Year's Eve.

While James and I were on the train on our way out here that night,
Gordon was struck with inspiration. When we walked through the door,
he grabbed me and we ran into the kitchen and knocked out the chorus.
Meanwhile, James and Gordon's family and friends were all waiting on
us in the next room. But we couldn't leave for dinner until we got
this thing hashed out. And thank goodness!! That's pretty much all
we've worked on tonight. I am so excited about this song. I don't even
want to share what it's about until we get it finished. (that feels
premature)

But yeah. Best year ever. Let's keep it that way :) woot woot!
