Got No Mojo

Ugh.

Rough day in the studio. We got vocals on one song done... tried to do another and it just wasn't happening. It's amazing how not singing for a couple of weeks and being sick affects the voice. I thought I would be fine, but I just didn't have the mojo today. And that's never an easy thing. Singing hasn't always come completely natural, but I've always worked hard enough to overcome the lack of "natural" ability.

I felt like one of those poor Idol auditionee's when I listed back. I thought I was WAY more centered and steady in my head that I was in reality!

But alas, tomorrow is a new day! And hearing that gross vocal today will only make me a better and stronger singer as time goes on. Gonna get in bed early (for me) and rest the pipes to see what happens tomorrow.
