Doing shows at home is such a different playing field. It's hard to explain, but when there's so many people that you love and friends and fans from some of your VERY FIRST SHOWS... it creates a much different atmosphere than anywhere else.

We've come so far. We added some new songs that I haven't played at home yet, and it felt GREAT to get to play them tonight. But we have a VERY high standard for ourselves. I feel like we get better with each go round we do, but I am striving for and working on so much right now. Playing these shows at home are a really good evaluation of what all we have been accomplishing out on the road and as a band. It's good perspective!

But the show was incredible. I cried out of my left eye tonight... I probably looked like I had a black eye for a while, every time I wiped my eye... my finger was jet black. But it was funny. And by the end of the set I had probably cried all of my make-up off anyway :)

One of my old directors from the Opryland Kid's Club showed up. And we also always did Snowbird commercials together. He was actually in town from Florida just to shoot a Snowbird spot. (Lord... one day, I'll dig up some of those old commercials... that'll be a good watch!) And 4 of my previous bass players were in the room (no pressure Panther!). And even Kiwamu - my first guitar player in town - was there! It's always just a big ole reunion!

Now it's way past sleepy time.
