I Rocked My Belt Off. Literally.

I mean I guess it's a good sign?? But I LOVE this belt - a good friend gave it to me, and I was so bummed! I was packing up after the show, and thought, WHOOPS!!! Cause my buckle had come undone. I went to buckle it back up, and it came out in my hands! so... now my favorite belt is in two pieces.

St. Charles Community College did not disappoint today! We had beautiful weather, burgers on the grill, a snow cone machine, lots of groups and organizations... even the Police recruits were out in full force!!! I felt QUITE safe today :)

This is Gabi. She and her friends were at the show, and they MADE MY DAY! She is a beautiful dancer, and they all had the best time with us. They made it REALLY easy to rock out and have fun today. Thanks Gabi!

Speaking of making my day... this couple came up to me after we got done playing and asked if I knew where their picture was from. It was of their son and me, and I IMMEDIATELY recognized his shirt in the pic. He's in the military and was at our show in Naples, Italy on the 4th of July!!! They printed out the photo and had me sign it for him. How AMAZING is that??
Thank you David for your service to this country! His parents said he's been there for 5 years and just reenlisted today. WOW. :)

All in all a fantabulous day at St. Charles Community College! And now... it's 5pm. I've taken Nyquil, and I will not wake until in the morn. I am DETERMINED to get rid of whatever sickness this is that thinks it's gonna win. It ain't! I'm all vitamined up, Nyquiled out, and sleep-deprived NO MORE!

See you tomorrow!
Peace. Love. and Healthy Fiddles.

That's what duct tape and Bailing wire are for. Keep the belt rockin'.

Hay : )

Josh's idea is great, and if you're ever out of duct tape you can always use rope like we do here in Shady Grove : )

and sometimes we use bungee cord as a belt after eating a big meal, and we also use bungee CHORDS when we want elastic bouncy musical notes : ) : )
