Keuka College

The shows we did yesterday feel like weeks ago. It's so weird when that happens. We are all pretty wiped out. And yet I'm so energized at the same time. I have had trouble sleeping lately. But it is usually because I have been getting ideas for songs and my best inspiration usually comes at inconvenient times... you know... 4:30am when I have to be up at 7...

Today we drove as quickly as possible with one quick stop at a gas station and a lightening speed pit stop at a Subway on our way to Keuka Park, NY. The drive through upstate NY along Lake Erie from Edinboro PA was so gorgeous. But it of course took longer than we anticipated. It always does.... and of course the show started 30 minutes earlier than we thought it was supposed to! Not good when you are already behind. But my band is amazing - we pulled together and were set up and sound checked in 45 minutes! (And that includes me getting dressed and in full make-up for the show, too!). When you are setting up a full sound system... that is pretty impressive!

We played 2 separate sets at Keuka College tonight. One at 5:30 and then one again at 9 after they had a dance. :) It was really fun. The first guy I saw when I walked onto campus said, "Hey! Are you gonna play that Alaska song?? I really like that one!" This girl was all smiles :)

Katrina and her friends requested "Angel" at BOTH sets today. :) She was so sweet and told me how many stores she's been to looking for my album. I was SOOO glad I found a few more when we went home. I looked in every nook and cranny and found 5 more. Of course, the new shipment came in right after we left. God Bless itunes!

Erica!!! She was the FIRST one up to the front of the stage and was there the WHOLE show. It was awesome. She knows how to enjoy a rock concert! :)

The DD of the evening - he had to leave the show more than once to drive his friends. :) Everyone was talking about thirsty Thursday's when we got there... they weren't kidding!

Thank you to CAB and everyone at Keuka College!!!

We're packing Cousin Boaring's bags so he can join your tour and help you sleep : )

He does snort a lot but in addition to being boaring he is also pretty boring so maybe he can help you sleep : )

Sweet Dreams : )
