Relay for Life at Campbell University

We played the greatest event today at Campbell University.

They were participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life!!! We played a 90 minute show while people were walking laps, celebrating and hanging out. It couldn't have been a more gorgeous afternoon in Buies Creek, NC. Not a cloud in the sky, high 60's - PERFECT walking weather! And all the different student organizations had booths, food, games, and events.

Of course there was a dunking booth, smores, funnel cakes, Henna tattoos, games, and they raised money to pie a professor in the face! There were booths lined all around the walkway where everyone was walking to raise money and awareness for cancer!

The Campbell Camel visited as we were setting up the stage :)

And the Campus Activities Board has the cutest green room set up for us! They made signs - "Welcome Natalie and Peace Love Fiddle" And a HUGE welcome sign with streamers as you walked in the door. (And lots of Easter Candy!)

They even had games and crayons set up for us since we were gonna be hanging out for a while. I LOVE that the first thing Miguel and James did was sit down and start coloring!

It was Emma Rose's FIRST concert!!! :)

There were SOOO many cute doggies out today running around. I LOVED it! This is Lexi :)

And Panther and I went and made some smores after the show. That was AWESOME!

And the Buies Creek Fire and Rescue asked for a picture in front of the truck and let me wear a jacket and hat!!! It REALLY smelled like smoke. That's the real deal, y'all!

They spelled out "Hope" with paper bags in candles at the end of the show on the stair case. It was gorgeous. And they read pomes and did special laps dedicated to those who have lost their lives to cancer.

I sang "Angel" for Granny today, and everyone was so proud of her being a breast cancer survivor!!! She got breast cancer at age 86, and BEAT it!!! :)

Everyone at Campbell University was so sweet to us today. And it makes such a difference for us to play a show with a purpose. We are always happy to play a show - we love what we do. And the show itself is always our favorite part of this job. But when it serves a higher purpose like today, it makes what we do extra special. So thank you to Campbell University for not only having us, but organizing such a meaningful event.

Here's just a few of the wonderful people I met today.
These are the CAB members responsible for bringing us.

Peace. Love. Fiddle.
