We Lost One of the All Time Greats.

Our loss is heaven's gain this evening.

Grandpa Dick made everyone feel special. Even the waitress that never knew his name in a random coffee shop. And for the first time in my life, I have had a Grandfather... a void that was quickly filled from the moment I met him. Way before James and I ever started dating.

It's hard to know what to say. But now I can picture the face of one of my guardian angels. We all wish we had him around longer.

For every tear shed for Grandpa Dick, there are a thousand angels rejoicing. I am so thankful to have been blessed to be a part of this family. The family that he and Grandma started together. "All because two people fell in love"

I guess he's getting to finish that jig he started right as he went into the operating room a little sooner that we had all expected.

To quote James: "We lost one of the all-time kick-ass Grandpas tonight"

It's true.

Peace. Love. And Heavenly Fiddles.
