To Grandmother's House We Go

Over the river and through the woods...

We made it to Grandma's! It's cold in Iowa, as to be expected... single digits. BUT NO SNOW on the way, so it was safe travels all the way through :)

It is so strange to travel without the trailer attached. I realized I had been driving for about 4 hours before I remembered I could use cruise control. But man... the last 20 minutes were so fun with it on! Totally worth it :) We came in the Suburban which was our touring vehicle for 2 years (well... the 3rd one was used for two years) And man, those heated seats are VERY NIIIIIIIICE in the winter :)

We celebrate Christmas with the Gholson's tomorrow - many of James' side of the family. (Which is weird to say because they are MY family too! But just to clarify for the confused) I am so excited. I am already hungry because Grandma was talking about the menu for tomorrow. And this is the first year that I am officially celebrating Christmas with the whole crew! Isn't Christmas time just the best?
