Happy Wedding Day Ben & Katie

Today was the day the Fedora and Katie combined their forces into
awesomeness. :)

Our roommates got married at one of the most personality-filled
weddings I have ever been to. Rev. Dan Baird (from the Georgia
Satellites - Keep Your Hands To Yourself) was the officiator of the
ceremony. How freakin cool is that?! Yeah it was as cool as it sounds.

Katie's face was classic the WHOLE ceremony. She was laughing with joy
all the way through.

Katie made her own dress and of course looked stunning. One of her
bridesmaids tested her shoes on the lawn for her, and her heels were
sinking into the mud. (it stormed
This morning so the ground was still wet) so she decided to go
barefoot and it was perfect!

The best part of the night was when Ben and Katie played their first
number. (Their version of the first dance) They sang two duets. Ben
played his baritone ukulele, Katie played her mini, lefty ukulele, and
they did the encore performance of "He Needs Me" from Popeye. They had
done it at the "Love Is Deaf" Valentine's Day party this year. It's a
party put on to give the spouses of all these awesome musicians in
Nashville a chance to get in on the performing action - even if they
are tone deaf!!!

We were cleaning up this evening and somehow I ended up with all the
left over food. It works out perfectly because tomorrow is Granny's
birthday an we're having a big party! And now we have lots of extra
yummy food.

Congratulations Ben and Katie. I am so happy for you!!! Today was
perfect. I wish you would get married more often, so I could hang out
with your friends and family more!
